Auckland-A fund raising event has been planned by the NZ Tamil youth on the 11th February 2018, to raise fund for to help achieve their dream of having a Tamil chair at the prestigious Harvard University.
Tamil is one of the most ancient languages of the world and it is also one of the few languages to have a script dating back to a thousand years. The antiquity of the language whose richness still awes scholars is just one of the many reasons that have encouraged Tamils to pitch for a permanent chair (professorship) for the language at the Harvard University. It is a language that is spoken by nearly ten million people and rightfully deserves a claim of having a seat of its own at the Harvard University.
To benefit this claim, a fundraiser has been organised in Auckland at Mount Eden war memorial hall on 11th February 2018 and is scheduled from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Prolific Youtuber Raja Mohan of Put Chutney fame has been invited as the chief guest to the fund raiser. It promises to be emotional and fun filled with various programmes, including more fun filled programs like dance, fancy dress for kids, songs, guest speakers & much more to entertain u all. The tickets are priced 15$ including food and free entry and food for children under 5 year old.
An ambitious cause such as this, requires all the support and motivation it can get. Sponsorship are priced at 750$ for Platinum, 500$ for Gold and 250$ for Silver
