New Jersey -Sasikala, a 40-year old software professional and her 7-year old son belonging to Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh were found murdered at their home in New Jersey in the US on Thursday, March 23. Police are investigating the stabbing deaths of Sasikala Narra, 38, and her 6-year-old son, Anish Narra, at Fox Meadows in Maple Shade Township . Police said her husband Narra Hanumantha Rao called police authorities when he discovered their bodies.US law enforcement officials said but ruled out that the brutal killings were hate crime.
Narra Hanumantha Rao and his wife Sasikala, both software engineers, hailing from Thimmarajupalem village of Paruchur mandal in Prakasam district, had moved to USA 9 years back. While Hanumantha Rao is employed in a software firm Congnizant, and his wife used to work from home.
When Hanumantha Rao returned home after work on Thursday evening he found his wife and his little son Anish Sai in a pool of blood with their throats slit. Rao called the police who began investigations into the gruesome double murder.

The motive is not yet know. There is no information if it is a hate crime. This is the fifth incidents involved overseas Indians living in America. This the third murder of Telugu software professional and first female to be killed. Police are planning to question Hanumantha Rao also in their attempt to probe from all angles.

Hanumantha Rao Narra’s parents told to media that their son said he came home from the office Thursday night and found that his wife and son’s throats had been cut.
They also told that they were working with the embassy and several other groups to ensure that their bodies could be returned to India as soon as possible.
Earlier a young techie from Hanumakonda, Vamsi Reddy was shot dead near his apartment in California. Later on February 22, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, an Engineer, was slain in a hate crime while his friend Alok Madasani was injured in the shooting incident at Austin Bar and Grill in Olathe of Kansas City. In the same incident an American Ian Gillot was also injured. Two days after the Kansas City shooting incident, a Gujarati store owner Harnish Patel was gunned down near his house in South Carolina.
